Admin – Grant Additional Permissions for VisPlan
Introduction
This article is the third step in setting up VisPlan for your organization. It explains how to grant consent to additional permissions required to enable advanced features such as integration with Microsoft Planner, Excel and Azure DevOps

Step-by-Step Guide
1. Ensure Admin Access
Before you begin, make sure you—the admin—are added to the group allowed to use VisPlan in the Teams Admin Center. Even global admins must be part of this group to manage VisPlan permissions.
To add yourself:
- Log in to the Teams Admin Center
- Go to Manage Apps and search for VisPlan
- Locate the assigned group
- Add yourself to that group
2. Open VisPlan in Microsoft Teams
- Open Microsoft Teams
- Go to Apps
- Search for VisPlan
- Click Add, then Open, and Open again
- Close the pop-up to access the VisPlan Dashboard
3. Access Application Permissions
- Click the Menu in the upper-right corner
- Select Configure → Application Permissions
- You’ll see an overview of all permissions VisPlan can request
4. Grant Consent to Additional Permissions
Review the permissions your organization may need and grant consent as required:

To grant consent:
- Click on the required permission
- Sign in if prompted
- Check “Consent on behalf of your organization”
