September 15, 2025 – Enhanced Copilot Chat, Model Selection, and Permissions Update

Copilot Chat Experience

The Copilot sidebar now supports a full chat interface, allowing you to ask general questions about your plan and receive instant guidance.
Whether you need advice, clarification, or help navigating VisPlan, Copilot is ready to assist with conversational support.

Copilot Object Management

Beyond answering questions, Copilot can now add, edit, and remove Focuses, Objectives, and Key Results directly from the chat.
You can also set dates on Actions through conversation. This powerful new workflow makes it easier than ever to update your plan structure and details,
streamlining collaboration and empowering you to build and refine your plans in real time.

Multiple Copilot Models Supported

VisPlan now supports several Copilot models, allowing you to choose the one that best fits your needs.
Available options include gpt-4.1-nano, gpt-4.1-mini, gpt-5-nano, and gpt-5-mini.

  • Model selection advice: For advanced features and higher accuracy, choose a ‘mini’ model (gpt-4.1-mini or gpt-5-mini).
  • The ‘nano’ models (gpt-4.1-nano, gpt-5-nano) offer faster performance and lower resource usage.
  • If unsure, start with gpt-5-mini for the latest capabilities and broadest support.

Permissions Update

To improve security and simplify setup, VisPlan now uses the SharePoint REST API to list available sites instead of relying on the Microsoft Graph Sites.ReadAll permission,
which now requires Admin consent. This change ensures a smoother experience for all users without the need for elevated permissions.
